Grocery Sticky Hunt

I found this super easy, fast and cute date night on The Dating Divas website. This will be the first of many posts I repost from them. I love everything on their site! See the original post here. I could share everything I’ve ever used from this site, but that would take many days so I’m just gonna stick with sharing how our date went! (;

I printed out the little clue teaser thing and gave that to him right before we left. Then in each of envelopes was a clue for one ingredient we needed for our split! He did great figuring them out and we got all the stuff we needed. Then we headed home and made the splits. Mmmm! Mine is the totally full bowl, obvi. Fun fact: I’m addicted to ice cream!

For real, all marrieds NEED to know Dating Divas. Everything you need is there. And a ton of free printables! (:

We still need to do our June pre-planned date at the park so keep an eye out for that coming up. For now…I’m going back to Physics class. BOO! 😦

Treasured and Loved

This past weekend I was able to attend a Women’s Retreat with my in-laws church. I went last year too, so it was great to see friends again and hear how life has gone for the last year for them! This year the theme was Treasured and Loved from Deuteronomy 7:6-9.

 Do this because you are a people set apart as holy to God, your God. God, your God, chose you out of all the people on Earth for himself as a cherished, personal treasure.God wasn’t attracted to you and didn’t choose you because you were big and important—the fact is, there was almost nothing to you. He did it out of sheer love, keeping the promise he made to your ancestors. God stepped in and mightily bought you back out of that world of slavery, freed you from the iron grip of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know this: God, your God, is God indeed, a God you can depend upon. He keeps his covenant of loyal love with those who love him and observe his commandments for a thousand generations.” ( Side note, I use The Message version for easy understanding. I’m not necessarily condoning it as the most accurate word to word translation.)

Great teachings were given and I enjoyed my time with my MIL and SIL as well as their friends. It was a long drive to Belton and back, but it was a good trip! Allow me to share a few of my favorite thoughts from the weekend.

If the only thing The Lord gave you was salvation, that would absolutely be enough!

The Lord really really loves you and there is nothing you can do that will change His mind!

He has chosen you to walk a path He has laid out now…and to spend eternity with Him later! Do the work He has chosen for you and you will bring Him glory.

The Word is full of accounts of His honored promises, and He is faithful now to keep His oaths to you!

I’m starting summer classes tomorrow (aaahh!), but I’m really hoping for a fun date night soon. Stay tuned for that post. (;
